Best Ive used
As far as iOS use goes, Ive used Remote HD, LogMeIn, and iTeleport. LogMeIn has some nice features (video streaming, acccess to file system on iOS(limited)/Mac OS(full)), however you need a monthly/yearly subscription to access those features. They do have nice animations and smooth scrolling when browsing the dock icons and scolling through text. That being said, I always come back to the iTeleport iOS VNC because of the full access to all buttons via custom keyboard GUIs. I have been using it to program on my iMac while awhile. Colleages used to laugh until they realized that an iPad connecting via VNC to a 27inch quad core i7 with SSD hindered only by a second or so of internet lag was much faster than their puny laptops.
Anyhoo, grabbed the desktop version while it was on sale. Works as I expected having used the iOS version, just signed into gmail and bam! Very nice addition to my tools. Grab it while its on sale!
